Thotteasivarajaniivar.anamalaianavar.nov., discovered from theAnamalaihills of Western Ghats, India is described and illustrated. The woody habit,comparatively less pubescent inflorescence flowers, glabrous stem, petiole fruits,highly reducedstaminodes, prominent bracts bracteolesetc. are some the characteristics that delimit thisvariety species proper.
